Merino wool is one of the softest sheep's wools available, due to the finer, smaller scale on it's fibres. It has anti-bacterial properties and an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. It absorbs up to one-third of it's weight, drawing sweat away from the skin and remains warm even when wet.
